As everyone knows in the world of aviation that we are still flying the same planes our grandparents flew. In all that time it is inevitable that we should back the family station wagon into a mailbox once in a while and those patches or holes get old. Sometimes it is better and looks better to, just replace the whole skin, or maybe that old repair needs to be repaired back to factory original, or that old antenna hole that was patched back when they took out the ADF or removed that beacon. Most of these little things are only noticed by the person who washes the plane but it makes a difference.
