61A getting close

 Bringing in the new year with a 182 firewall repair, not for the light of heart. The weather has been snow and ice here and has slowed all incoming parts and slowed the progress down in the mean time we are hard at work on our new project….a 180J

All my planes wen this year to Johnson Creek for the 180/185 fly in, a good time had by all. We had the two lowest horse power planes at the fly in a Cessna 120 and my Champ. Our crew numbered 6, Max, Danny, Aaron, Riley, Wade in his 120 and myself in my 180….

Slowly climbing out of the rabbit hole. Had to replace the Vertical rear spar and both bulkheads and make sure all was right when reassembled to make sure we did not repeat the mistake that was done the last time the tail was apart.

Sometimes going fishing in hindsight may not have been the best idea and that branch you decided to hold on to might have not been the best choice. The fateful sound of the crack of that branch was what sent me off a big rock and down a hill that produced 4 broken ribs and…
