I am not sure what I am doing but Bentley Air just moved hangars, what becomes vividly clear is how much stuff you have. But in the end if you ever get there it is worth it.
I am who I am because of my dad, my co pilot. He never was a pilot or a mechanic but when he asked me what I wanted to do with my life and I told him I wanted to be a pilot he said, “then you better be one”. He always backed me up…
After a 1000 miles one way we picked up a 180 that has been sitting for 10 years. A Montana ranchers plane, he landed where only Buffalo and Indians roamed. The goal is a newly overhauled engine a handful of STC’s and a clean bill of health then back to the prairie.
Had to go down to San Francisco to repair a Beaver, life is hard on a plane that has to sit day after day in the salt mash of the Bay. Thanks to my side kick and son we hammered it out and the customer was happy. Road repairs to plane and truck.
I got the opportunity to work on a Beaver, reliving the past and better yet I got to fly it around. There are somethings I will never forget and the sound of a P+W 985 is one of them.
