There are always planes to fix and a common fix is the left wing tip, aileron and elevator. Bou once in a while you just got to fly.
Just spent a few days at Ryan Field by West Glacier, great place. Flew back to Kalispell and rented a car and drove the going to the sun road… Great trip and a big thanks to the RAF.
After a 1000 miles one way we picked up a 180 that has been sitting for 10 years. A Montana ranchers plane, he landed where only Buffalo and Indians roamed. The goal is a newly overhauled engine a handful of STC’s and a clean bill of health then back to the prairie.
I got the opportunity to work on a Beaver, reliving the past and better yet I got to fly it around. There are somethings I will never forget and the sound of a P+W 985 is one of them.
