After a 1000 miles one way we picked up a 180 that has been sitting for 10 years. A Montana ranchers plane, he landed where only Buffalo and Indians roamed. The goal is a newly overhauled engine a handful of STC’s and a clean bill of health then back to the prairie.
We had a chance to fly with one of customers from Alaska and take him to a few of our local spots we like go. Had a great time.
I got the opportunity to work on a Beaver, reliving the past and better yet I got to fly it around. There are somethings I will never forget and the sound of a P+W 985 is one of them.
Our airplanes take us to some really neat spots. It was a challenging canyon flying on a breezy day.
After months of rehab 61A is getting near the end. As usual the last 10% is 90% of the job but it is all coming together. Overhauled gear from Landing gear works…..not cheap but not bent…
Our 180H, N52010 is coming along nicely, Putting the last assembly to make sure all is done and working and the 170 finishing up on the wiring and FWF…….I can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel
