Oshkosh
Max and I flew the 170B all the way out to Oshkosh arriving Sunday as Oshkosh just turned Marginal VFR because of smoke. It seems that there was 1500 airplanes waiting for the same thing, it was truly a zoo, we were turned around twice with the instructions to go back to Endeavor and start again. we made it in on the third try with 8 gallons of fuel remaining. The smoke cleared and had an amazing time. The 170B had just 12 hours on it and had not flown for 30 years when we took to the skies. I flew the 170 home while Max went to Vermont to pick up a 180 to bring back to Bend. So many great experiences …..
