1974 Cessna 180H
9-1-25 The good news is that 010 is coming together. The wings are on all flight controls are rigged, the flaps feel like brand new maybe that’s because they are. These wings have been rebuilt and all new flap tracks and rollers. the tail is on and rigged, Now we are just finishing up on the radios and panel. We plan to put a few hours on 010 before we sell just to make sure all is right. This is as close to a new 1974 180J you can get with only 1600 TT.
The story…..
This has been a project for an old friend of mine for over 20 years and we bought the project to finish it. The story goes that the 180 was wrecked in Alaska on floats when the pilot failed to make it off a lake and it was bought some time later from out of the back of a hanger at lake Hood. The plane has 1700 hours total time. In the process of 20 years my friend and previous owner slowly had the plane rebuilt, every part, and then painted. Unfortunately some of the work on the tail was not done right as we discovered and lets just say the devil is in the details.
